Monk, Necro, Warrior> Rune Farming - Factions HM
Alright, so I've been reading some farming threads here and I found them very useful, and eventually made some money, so it's time to give back to the community. If you are thinking of flaming me for this, just close the window now. I am only posting this for the good of other people and I do not want to get flamed for that.
So, lets start then, shall we?
Location:
Wajjun Bazaar - Zone next to the Marketplace.
Professions:
55 Monk/Anything
55 Necro/Monk
Warrior/Ritualist
Builds:
Monk:
[skill]shield of judgment[/skill][skill]mending[/skill][skill]balthazar's spirit[/skill][skill]blessed aura[/skill][skill]essence bond[/skill][skill]blessed signet[/skill][skill]healing breeze[/skill][skill]protective spirit[/skill]
Template Code:
OwAU0M3+MYGGUkyDg6LlgseA
Attributes*:
15 Smiting Prayers
9 Healing Prayers
9 Protection Prayers
12 Divine Favor
*I have not completed any of the 15 attribute quests so attributes should be tweaked if you have.
Weapons:
+5 Energy, 20% Enchanting weapon (Totem Axe is perfect), -50 HP Grim Cesta, -20 HP or another offhand with no '-hp' in case you die (highly unlikely).
Necro:
[skill]awaken the blood[/skill][skill]reckless haste[/skill][skill]spiteful spirit[/skill][skill]essence bond[/skill][skill]mending[/skill][skill]balthazar's spirit[/skill][skill]healing breeze[/skill][skill]protective spirit[/skill]
Template Code:
OANEYyxd+o8GCdeoPik8AS1D
Attributes*:
16 Curses
9 Protection Prayers
8 Healing Prayers
5 Soul Reaping
*Once again, I haven't completed 15 attribute quests or completed just one... can't remember. Please tweak the attributes if you have completed the 15 attribute quests.
Weapons:
+5 Energy, 20% Enchanting weapon (Totem Axe is perfect), -50 HP Grim Cesta, -20 HP Offhand or another offhand with no '-hp' just in case.
Warrior:
[skill]endure pain[/skill][skill]healing signet[/skill][skill]vengeful was khanhei[/skill][skill]vengeful weapon[/skill][skill]bonetti's defense[/skill][skill]riposte[/skill][skill]deadly riposte[/skill][skill]dolyak signet[/skill]
Template Code:
OQgjEhVaILbVAYxEPfNYEWaB
Attributes:
12 Restoration Magic
12 Tactics
9 Strength
Weapons:
Any Sword (+5 Energy, +30 Health/+5 Armor recommended), Any Max Shield (+30 HP, -5 Damage (20% Chance) recommended).
The Run:
Turn HM on. Exit the market place and go to Wajjun Bazaar. Once you are zoned, go West (right). You will see 2 groups of Jade Brotherhood Knights. Those are the targets. ONLY KILL THEM IN GROUPS OF 3. It prevents scatter, is a lot easier and faster and lowers the risk of dying. Especially on necro, don't try to tank them all at once. Once you kill them, zone and repeat from the beginning. You only kill 6 foes in the zone. The run takes anywhere from 1 minute to 1 minute 45 seconds, so it is very fast.
Drops:
Most of the drops are Gold Armors and Purple Armors. Occasionally, you might get an axe, sword or a shield.
Q: How often do gold armors/things drop?
A: Depends. You can get 2 golds and 1 purple drop in 1 run or get nothing at all. Sometimes you can do several runs and get nothing. Sometimes you can get lots of gold drops in a row.
Hardness:
Monk: Very very easy 1/10
Necro: Very easy and fast 1/10
Warrior: Somewhat easy 4/10
Screenshots:
Monk:
Necro:
Warrior:
Conclusion:
Q:Is it worth it?
A:To some extent. There are better farming spots but this one is very easy and is great to work on your Wisdom Title.

Personally, I prefer to farm these guys with SS on my 55 monk. Because of the increased attack speed, they drop incredibly fast.

Here's a safe, flexible and dead easy alternative WRt build -
VWK, Vengeful Weapon, Weapon of Shadow, Wielder's Boon, Dolyak Sig, Bonetti's, To The Limit, Sig of Stamina.
Template code: OQgjEtVWIPDWLGx76FPTL8E+CA
Str 15, Rest 12, Tac 6
Glad's / Radiant Armor, +1+3 Str helm, Totem Axe, Exalted Aegis (Str)
Use Dolyak's, VWK and Sig of Str, shout TTL and spam VW. When VWK drops, Bonetti's should be charged so hit it.
If Sig of Str is active you can tank fine without WoS, but it's a safe and effective security blanket while VWK is recharging.
Wos can be used before Bonetti's, enough hits still get through to charge your nrg.
If u need to heal use WB for an instant 110HP while WoS is up. VW can cancel WoS early if desired.
Repeat once and the group should be dead. If not, hit VW a couple more times. If using WoS, wait a few seconds between cycles for blind to wear off the attackers to take full advantage of VWK. Takes about 90 secs for a run.
You can run this build with a constant 800+ HP and 50+nrg (Alem's Remedy, Radiant, Attunement). You never need to attack (keeps Sig of Str up for the extra 300HP), you should never be in danger of dying and have a 20% chance of halving skill recharge for VWK to make for a faster run. Just make sure Bonetti's is charged as needed by TTL.
For the brave or stupid among us, you can tank both groups but it takes longer so what's the point!
[edit] Just picked up a platinum blade and staff for my troubles.

An amazingly fast Mo/N farm is Protective Spirit, Healing Breeze, Spiteful Spirit, Insidious Parasite, Blessed Sig (may not be needed), Mending, Balthazaar's Spirit, and Essence Bond. Incredibly easy to do, just cast SS on one of them and cast IP on another one. Of course, the OP's builds are fine, I just use this one since I also use it to kill things in Pongmei Valley.

Thanks, Mr D J, great guide. Very easy farm. I prefer a W/X build:
[skill]Standing Slash[/skill][skill]Gladiator's Defense[/skill][skill]Deadly Riposte[/skill][skill]Riposte[/skill][skill]Soldier's Defense[/skill][skill]Healing Signet[/skill][skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill]
Template Code: OQATEVqW3h8RXIMDmRdAItwVAA
Strength: 11(10+1)
Sword: 11(10+1)
Tactics:15(11+1+3)
Sword: Elemental or Furious 15% stance, or -5 energy of Defense(+5), Shelter(+7Phy.), or Fortitude is ideal, but any will do.
-2(Stance), +30 or +45(Stance) shield
Dolyak Signet and your points in Strength can be swapped out for a number of skills.
[skill]Bladeturn Refrain[/skill] or [skill]Armor of Earth[/skill] at 10 points come to mind, off the top of my head.
This build takes just over 1 minute,(/age always shows 1 minute for me)and is easy to run.

They drop in moddock.
I was doing W/Rt VwK there for 4 days and a non-max one dropped.
If you have a 55 monk, Zehlon is better for Colossal farming

Simple as that, fast, safe, easy and somewhat profitable.

55's are horrible for survivor. Lag slightly and you die.
I've done this run before, but I'd never use anything other than SS+haste - jades just mow themselves down in seconds.

Prot. Spirit, Shielding Hands, SOA, SOJ, Mantra of Resolve, Blessed Aura and BalthazarĀ“s Spirit. You can farm all jade mobs, the only ones who survive are de jade ritualists and bosses.
